Gympie Ultimate Steam Festival
Gympie Ultimate Steam Festival — 9 - 12th April 2010
This festival will demonstrate all aspects of Steam driven transport and industry. At The Valley Rattler, the steam train will depart daily for half day tours. The Mary Ann, an 1873 vertical steam engine, will be taking passengers on local trips (Sunday and Monday Only).
At the Gold Mining Museum there will be a Gympie Gold Mine Massive 1890 Steam driven mine winding engine, a steam powered generator for mine lights and a steam powered air compressor for mine jackhammers.
The Woodworks Museum has a steam driven bush saw mill and there will be a variety of timber industry demonstrations including a mobile saw milling competition.
Three fabulous days of entertainment and discovery.
