Rocking Rails
Rocking Rails
Saturday 21st April 2012
If you love live music then you won’t want to miss ‘Rockin the Rails’ on Saturday 21st April 2012! A sure-fire good night will kick off from 5.30pm at Old Gympie Station with champagne and nibbles and then it’s all aboard the heritage wooden carriages for a 6pm departure.
Hauled by Mary Valley Heritage Railway’s restored DH 45 diesel locomotive, this rockin’ trip through the Mary Valley will feature live music in the licensed Club Car as the magnificent train rolls through the countryside to Kandanga.
Enjoy a two course dinner at Kandanga while listening to the rockin’ tunes from the 50s, 60s and 70s performed by ‘Branchline’. After dinner you will have your chance to burn up the floor as the four piece group picks up the pace with some Rock-N-Roll dance. Or perhaps you’d rather sit back, enjoy a drink and watch the talented musicians as they rock the house!
As the evening winds down during the return journey guests will be invited to join in a relaxed jam session in the Club Car before arriving back in Gympie at approximately 11.30pm.
Tickets for this great night of entertainment are super value at only $65 per person and include champagne on arrival, appetisers, dinner and dessert, live music as well as the return train fare.
