Elliottville Model Railway – Open Daily
A Spectacular Attraction – Not to be missed!
Lloyd and Beryl Elliott’s dream and ambition was to build a model railway like no other. They travelled the world in search of components and after thousands of labour hours their dream became a reality.
After Lloyd and Beryl passed away the Elliott family chose the Historic Gympie Railway Station as home for their masterpiece. The Elliottville Model Railway was officially opened by the Elliot Family on Friday 7th April 2000 in memory of Lloyd and Beryl.
Tourists admiring the train display can witness 3 or 4 trains moving along the track at any one time. They will see many amazing constructions including Old Gympie Station, The Railway Hotel, an airport complete with a runway, farm house with animals and even a circus.
Lloyd and Beryl’s dreams are remembered and fulfilled as the Elliott Express rattles around the tracks delighting people of all ages.
