Travel Information to Gympie

By Car
From Brisbane travel north along the Bruce Highway for about two hours (170kms) to Gympie. The distance from Gympie to: Rainbow Beach - 73kms (55mins); Tin Can Bay - 51kms (40mins); Imbil - 41.5kms (36mins); Borumba Dam - 52kms (57mins); Kilkivan - 50kms (40mins);  Goomeri - 76kms (55mins);  Noosa - 67.5kms (56mins); Maryborough - 88kms (1hr); Hervey Bay - 126kms (1hr 37mins).

By Rail
Queensland Rail operates regular services from Brisbane, Rockhampton and Cairns to Maryborough West and Gympie North stations, with coach connections to Hervey Bay. Choose from the Tilt Train, a modern style of travel offering wide reclining seats and onboard entertainment, or the more traditional Sunlander or Spirit of the Outback, which have a range of options from economy seating to first class sleeping berths.  For more information go to or call 1800 872 467.
